Para aprender un nuevo idioma se necesita paciencia, determinación, tiempo y práctica constante.
Por lo tanto la verdadera pregunta es cuanto estas dispuesto a dar de ti para aprenderlo y cuanto de veras deseas o necesitas el nuevo idioma. Estos factores determinan que tan difícil será para ti aprender el idioma. Muchas veces no podemos controlar las situaciones en las que nos encontramos, pero si controlamos como reaccionamos hacia ellos.
Pero hay algunas diferencias entre estos dos idiomas:
El inglés es menos fonético que el español, por lo tanto tiene más reglas y excepciones en la pronunciación. También cada vocal tiene varias pronunciaciones.
En el ingles hay más palabras que el español que suenan igual pero significan algo diferente y se escriben diferente, estos se llaman homónimos homófonos.
La gramática del ingles se puede tornar confusa cuando uno no se enfoca a poner en práctica el ingles que aprenden al estudiar la gramática.
El español también tiene muchos dichos coloquiales, usos modernos y excepciones a reglas. El español tiene sonidos y letras fonéticas que no existen en el ingles, como son la rr y la ñ.
Así que en realidad depende en ti y cuanto de ti dedicas a aprender un idioma.

Spanish has many colloquialisms, modern uses, and exceptions to rules also, and Spanish has phonic sounds and letters not present in English, such as rr and the ñ.
So really, it all depends on your context and how much of yourself you dedicate to learning a language.
